Aevon

Our story

How Aevon started.

Aevon is Gleb Labzov and Julius Ivsan. Gleb was born in Magnitogorsk, Russia, Julius in Kaunas, Lithuania. We both grew up in Weston, Florida, and we have been starting things together since the eighth grade.

Act I

Two kids in Weston.

  1. 2021

    Eighth grade.

We met in a film class in the 2021 school year. Julius was already writing software; he had been since elementary school, and by then he had published open-source game tools and shipped online games with real backends. Two years later, in the fall of 2023, we sat in the same tenth-grade chemistry class and started talking, on the phone after school, about making money on our own.

  2. November 2023

    The decision to start something.

By November 2023 the talk was serious. We wanted a business we could run with our hands, in our own town, while still in school. The first idea was roof cleaning, under the name Weston Bleach Bros. Our parents would not let us on roofs. Julius’s uncle suggested driveways instead. By early January 2024 we had equipment from a hardware store and a name: Panther Power Clean.

Act II

Panther Power Clean.

  1. January 2024 to October 2025

    Panther Power Clean.

Our first paying job was a neighbor’s driveway in January 2024, a hundred dollars, won after about four hours of knocking on doors in the heat. We underpriced it and it took far longer than it should have. We learned pricing from that one job. It was also the first money either of us had made on our own.

That spring, Julius’s uncle backed us: a gas pressure washer, a twenty-inch surface cleaner, a Nissan van to carry it all, tanks, storage, and marketing supplies. He also taught us to run a gas engine. We felt like a real company, and we now had real overhead to cover every month.

Gleb knocked the doors, handed out the cards, booked the jobs, and ran the social accounts. Julius took the incoming calls and kept the books. We both drove, and we both did the cleaning. Over the next twenty-two months we cleaned driveways, pavers, patios, and pool decks across Broward: Weston, Davie, Southwest Ranches, Sunrise, Coral Springs, Cooper City, Hollywood, Miramar, Fort Lauderdale, and sometimes as far as Hialeah. More than fifty jobs. Every review a customer left us was five stars.

Not every day was good. We once broke a glass fixture with the pressure washer and paid to replace it out of pocket. On one large job we were paid half of what we were owed and never saw the rest.

In 2025 we added window cleaning as a side line, with under a hundred dollars of equipment. It surprised us. Customers paid more for clean windows than for a clean driveway. We had assumed people paid for a hard day’s work. They pay for a result they care about.

Nobody really cares how clean their driveway looks.

  2. October 2025 to April 2026

    Winding it down.

We closed Panther Power Clean in October 2025, the month we both turned eighteen. The LLC was dissolved and the pressure-washing equipment and the van were sold. We kept cleaning windows on the side, with no company behind it and the gear in a car trunk, until April 2026.

The reasons were plain. We were the labor, and there was no version of the business where that changed without hiring. The market was crowded, so every job had to be won by hand at whatever price the next name on the list would take. And the phone: you cannot answer a call while running a pressure washer or standing on a ladder, and we lost jobs that way. We had done good work. We had never solved being found, or being reached.

Spring 2026

On May 15, 2026, we formed Aevon LLC.

Act III

A receptionist that happens to be AI.

  1. Spring 2026

    The idea.

By March 2026 Gleb was pushing for something new, with college a few months away and both of us restless. We talked through other businesses for a couple of months. By May the idea had settled: a phone receptionist. It came straight out of the cleaning work. The calls we could not take were jobs we did not get, and hiring someone to answer was not worth it at our size.

Julius was skeptical. Most products described as AI overpromise, and he did not want to sell one of them. What changed his mind was the shape of the problem. We had lived it. The call that goes unanswered goes to a competitor. That is not a software problem; it is a front-desk problem, and a front desk was something we understood.

  2. June 2026

    The first version.

The first version answered inbound calls, answered questions, and booked callers into a calendar. The first one we built was for Julius’s mother’s law office, as a test; it never became a client. It took its first call on the evening of June 4, 2026, from Gleb’s own phone.

The next day, June 5, it went live on a real line. Our first client was Vaulnox International, a company run by Julius’s father: a friendly first customer that let us learn on a real business. It still uses the service. We built the website and the client portal around that first version.

  3. Summer 2026

    Learning what a receptionist is.

Within weeks it was clear we were scraping the surface. A receptionist does more than answer: books, reschedules, takes a message a person can act on, hands a caller to someone when it matters, and calls people back. So we rebuilt it as a full receptionist and changed how we described it, from an “AI call answering service” to a receptionist that happens to be AI.

We had planned to build for medical and dental offices first. The version those offices would need turned out to be far more work than we could finish before college. Rather than stall, we launched first for general businesses: offices, salons, trades, legal, and veterinary. The medical version waits until the company can pay for it.

  4. August 31, 2026

    Launch.

On Monday, August 31, 2026, the general-business receptionist was ready for its first client. We started the way we know: on foot, in local businesses, talking to the owner or the receptionist and leaving a free missed-calls audit behind. Some of the owners we met already had an AI receptionist, which told us the idea works and people pay for it. Far more had nothing, and were losing calls the way we used to.
