A Fort Lauderdale attorney was losing leads to voicemail and a flooded inbox. We deployed an after-hours AI assistant and an email manager that runs the front of the firm overnight.

The problem

A solo-attorney practice in Fort Lauderdale was watching real cases walk past the front door. Personal-injury and family-law calls don't respect business hours. People call when something has just happened, late at night, on weekends. Voicemail caught the call. Voicemail rarely catches the client.

The inbox was its own problem. New-client inquiries, case-status questions, scheduling requests, and opposing-counsel email all piled in overnight. By the time the attorney sat down in the morning, the day was already spent triaging email instead of practicing law.

What we deployed

We built and deployed two AI integrations on top of the firm's existing phone and email tools.

The first is an after-hours AI assistant. It answers every call outside of business hours, takes a clean intake (case type, date and circumstances, party names, jurisdiction, urgency), books a follow-up consultation, and drops a complete case sheet plus a full transcript into the firm's system before the attorney is back at their desk.

The second is an email manager. It reads inbound email overnight, sorts it by intent (new client, existing matter, scheduling, opposing counsel, vendor noise), drafts responses where appropriate, flags anything urgent or sensitive, and clears the rest. The attorney walks into a sorted inbox instead of a backlog.

Both integrations are run end-to-end by Aevon. The firm doesn't run anything, doesn't learn anything new, and spent zero upfront. We covered the first two weeks of the pilot ourselves.
